Good News and Bad News.

pills on whiteThe bad news is that Canadians spent $29.3 billion on prescription drugs last year, more than ever before.  If there are 35 million Canadians, that’s  $837 per person.  Yikes!

The good news is that it is growing at a slower rate!  I wish that it was due to slower growth in prescription drug use, but it’s not.  Unfortunately they feel that it is due to greater availability of less expensive generic versions drugs.  A few of the patents on some of the more popular drugs has expired in recent years, allowing them to start making generic versions.

As chiropractors, we have a lot of work to do, helping Canadians choose a drug-free way to express their full health potential!
